Scott Beauchemin

"Cyril"

Scott, who played lovable serial killer Cyril Bowers, has appeared in numerous TV commercials, film and TV projects including Alan Rudolph’s Breakfast of Champions and Muddling Through on CBS. A graduate of Emerson College, he has studied with Howard Fine and also the late Uta Hagen. Scott joined the cast as a party guest but was quickly promoted to the killer of season 1 after the script was re-written at the last minute. Cyril is probably the only serial killer character in TV history to be shipped off to prison at the end of the first season only to return as a series regular the following year after escaping, eventually becoming a beloved member of the Bear family. He is also the only actor in the show to play two different characters when he donned a gorilla suit to play a marauding ape at the zoo in the show’s final season. Scott will appear with his fellow cast members in the upcoming A Big Gay Hairy Hit Where the Bears Are The Documentary. Currently he is celebrating thirty-four years with his husband Steve (who designed the show’s logo and posters).
